BLJ, or Backwards Long Jump, is an advanced movement technique in the Nintendo 64 game Super Mario 64. It allows Mario to jump incredibly far distances by performing a series of precise inputs.
To perform a BLJ, Mario must first gain a running start and then press the Z button to jump. Immediately after jumping, Mario must quickly press the A button to backflip. If timed correctly, Mario will flip backwards and gain a massive boost in speed. This boost can then be used to jump even further distances.
